Reclaimed Timbers

These reclaimed timbers tend to be more stable than new green timbers. Trestlewood timbers are typically air dried. Wet Trestlewood II timbers can be kiln dried for 12 days to remove excess surface moisture. Timber dimensions are nominal. Actual dimensions are typically 1/4" to 3/4" below listed dimensions. Most

Trestlewood timber products bear physical evidence of their reclaimed nature. Nail/bolt holes, seasoning checks and other physical characteristics authenticate Trestlewood as reclaimed, while enhancing its character and uniqueness. See Trestlewood specification sheets for more specific information about particular timber

products. *Timbers reclaimed from the 1904 Lucin Cut-Off railroad trestle, are old-growth Douglas Fir from the Pacific Northwest. Beautiful, with excellent grain and knotting. The unique qualities of tone and color of this wood come from 95 years of submersion in Salt Lake. The high mineral content of the water has left unique and gorgeous coloration in

the wood, while increasing the density and strength.
