2. Product Name
SHARKSKIN COMPTM
3. Product Description
SHARKSKIN COMP is 100% polypropylene based, 6 month UV exposure tested, thermally stable
with an average melting point of 320 degrees F, a wind and tear resistant reinforced roof underlayment used on steep pitched roof applications under asphalt composition shingles. SHARKSKIN COMP is a matt white color (containing) which keeps the building cool inside and out and is easy to handle in extreme heat. SHARKSKIN COMP incorporates our patented technology to create SHARK GRIPTM the most slip resistant wet dry or dusty roof underlayment on the market to protect all trades while working on the roof. SHARKSKIN COMP can be left exposed for up to 6 months and contains anti-oxidants for long term reliability. SHARKSKIN COMP is completely rot proof, will not expand and contract and wrinkle from high and low temperatures changes or moisture like Type 15 or Type 30 organic asphalt felts. SHARKSKIN COMP will not scar or melt like fiberglass SBS Underlayments at high temperature or crack at low temperature like asphalt based felts and Underlayments. SHARKSKIN COMP has been approved as an alternate replacement for Type 15 and Type 30 asphalt roofing felt, exceeds ASTM D226 per RADCO Test Report #3085, has passed ICC AC 188 Acceptance Criteria for Roof Underlayments see ESR Report No. 1708.

7. Installation
SHARKSKIN COMP underlayment is installed with a 2"- 4" horizontal overlap and 12" vertical side lap. The underlayment is laid horizontally (parallel) to the eave with the printed slip resistant side up, and is fastened using corrosion resistant 1 "diameter metal round top nails, and or 1" diameter plastic cap nails with galvanized shanks spaced at 4" on center (o.c.) across the top horizontal edge of the underlayment and 6"o.c.vertical side laps. The bottom horizontal edge should be nailed 6"-12"o.c. or as needed to prevent against wind driven rain and high winds. The underlayment should be nailed 12" o.c. across the field of the underlayment or as needed. The use of peal and stick tapes is suggested to seal SHARKSKIN COMP as needed. SHARKSKIN COMP is UV resistant for 6 months
